Eric Sachs – Managing Director


Eric Sachs is a Managing Director with The Peakstone Group, focusing on industrial and automotive clients and based in Southfield, Michigan. Eric has over 15 years of transaction experience as both an investment banker and a senior financial executive with Fortune 500 manufacturing companies.

Eric’s transaction experience includes divestitures, acquisitions, strategic alliances and investments, and financings ranging from $10 million to $20 billion. His expertise spans a range of industries including transportation, automotive, building products, packaging, consumer products, and technology.

Eric began his career in investment banking in 1999 at JP Morgan in New York where he was a member of the firm’s M&A group and later its Global Industrials group. In 2005, Eric joined Citigroup’s M&A group in New York where he focused primarily on Industrial and Automotive transactions.

In 2008, Eric joined Visteon Corporation, a global automotive components supplier, where he served as Treasurer and Chief Tax Officer. In 2011, Eric joined Delphi Corporation, also a global automotive components supplier, serving as Vice President of Corporate Development with responsibility for Delphi’s global strategy and M&A. In that role, Eric led several acquisitions, divestitures and technology investments that were critical in Delphi’s transformation into one of the largest and most profitable global automotive components suppliers. Eric also launched Delphi’s venture capital investment fund which invests in early stage automotive technology companies to quickly commercialize their technologies in a complex, rapidly changing industry.

Eric earned his JD at New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
